Took Chobley to Indian Rock to watch the sunset over the bay. His verdict? 10/10 would watch again
After being diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in 2007, my Dad quickly went from the best Dad in the world, to the absolute strongest human being I knew. Over the course of next 6 years he went through 8 surgeries, 8 doses of chemo, and 3 rounds of radiation. Before being diagnosed he was a world ranked runner and triathlete. It was too hard for me to photographically document his health decline from beyond athletic to absolutely disabled, but when I knew his final race was just about over I pulled out my camera and shot two rolls of film to capture what I saw as we all said goodbye to our beloved father, husband, son, friend, hero. I love you Dad and will miss you forever.
